Regulatory environmental acoustic measurements for an electrical source substation

environmental noise measurement RTE

RTE, the French electricity transmission system operator, wants to install a new transformer on an existing source substation.

Regulations governing electrical installations and ICPE (Installations Classées pour la Protection de l’Environnement) impose a number of constraints, particularly in terms of acoustics. In fact, the source substation must comply with noise criteria such as maximum sound levels and noise emergences, both day and night.

AXILAB has been asked to assess the noise generated by future equipment. Our experts carry out measurements on site, both in the source substation and in nearby residential areas.

Based on simulations, AXILAB draws up factual and easy-to-operate recommendations to ensure that the new transformer installation project complies with regulations.
